Hi, all :)
I am reaching out to you because I have a team currently where I think it will be very benefitial to implement daily huddles, you know - 10-20 minutes in the morning where we sit with the whole team to discuss what happened yesterday and get fixed on the goals for the upcomming day. I tried a couple of meetings, but it didn't go as well as I hoped - some of the colleagues were unhappy and saw it as an additional task, others were late and kind of ruining the organization I was trying to set up.
The team is an operations unit - inputting invoicing data between multiple systems and even though it sounds easy I think they will benefit from a little more stucture within their day, since it is not uncommon for them to leave the day with backlogs.
The team has enough dashboards already and they are not performing bad by all means, but I think they can become better without a lot of additional work, just with better organization. i am thinking also to implement other lean tools I have read about, but I deem it best to start small. What do you guys think about the case and do you have some quick and effefctive trick to get buy-in from a team for daily huddles?
I am available if you need more info.
Cheers,
Emil
