Hi everybody!
Does anyone have experience in writing an implementation Lean roll-out handbook in a multi-cultural environement? The aim of the initiative is to have a central documentation of our blueprint like a simple, visual summary of the Lean tool-kit (without looking for detailed approach from 18 weekly trainings for 5S, 3 enemies of efficiencies, Leader Standard Work, Change Management, Performance Board, Performance Dialogue, Go&See, Influencing skills, etc.) useful for juniors/new-comers, but also for Business Units local lean/OE (operational excellence) teams and front-line team-leaders (who we are training) to transfer the knowledge to their teams.
I am interested in a structure of the handbook (what should it contain) to be able to fit multiple countries (mainly EU & US) and also innovative ways to share it/be accesible (having in mind the nowadays digital word).
Many thanks in advance for your ideas!
Victoria
Hi Victoria:
I'd try: The Lean Toolbox: The Essential Guide to Lean Transformation 4th Editionby [removed] (Author), [removed] (Author)
The key to Lean implementation/roll-out, in my opinion, is cultural transformation.
Lean is a new way of doing business. Top Management has to leave their offices and go to the shop floor and work with their people to solve problems and create new processes. The entire company from top to bottom has to be invested in Lean. Education should be at gemba (the workplace), and not in a classroom environment
