Hello Professionals,
I am interested to know what are good process mapping tools that you have used and you are using in your practice?
- I am mainly interested when you have really long maps what is best as a tool to be used? (after you do it on a brown paper or magic charter)
- Are there any free of charge process mapping tools that can be used for clients that are not willing to pay a licence?
Many thanks for the ideas,
Hi Marieta,
Probably one of the best options still remains Microsofts Visio (Standard or Professional) although it might be a bit costly if not provided by your organisation. Good news is they are launching an online version (https://products.office.com/en-us/visio/flowchart-software?tab=tabs-3) that is very affordable (from $5 to $15 per month).
A very good alternative that is both cheaper and cross platform compatible is ConceptDraw (http://www.conceptdraw.com) That would be my first choice as I am a Mac user but also know I need to collaborate with Windows users too.
A bit less pro but also good quality to price ratio and also cross platform compatible is Edraw (https://www.edrawsoft.com).
Finally there are some nice alteranatives that work online and are easy to learn and also licences can be very affordable and paid on monthly basis. They also have free versions but with limits in the elements you can use so if you are going to draw long processes then a small licences is worth the investment. Here are the alternatives to the heavy pro programs:
Hope this was useful and feel free to contact me for any further information.
Kind regards,
Nikola
