Hi All,
a company is planning to launch a new product. The project manager is required to provide a forecast models, key account planning and integration of findings.
Do you have a consistent approach and methodology that you have ever been part or implemented?
Are there any other useful tips and tricks to be considered?
Thanks,
Launching a new product is always an experiment because there always are unknowns. Otherwise there'd be no risk to it.
So the best thing you can do is following a scientific approach:
- defining hypotheses about the problem the product will solve and the solution
- ranging hypotheses starting with the riskiest one (the one that all the others rely on)
- defining the most cost-efficient ways to test the hypotheses (depending on the level of uncertainty and the risk at stake)
- testing
- learning from the test
- iterating
