Nowadays I think everyone agrees that standardizing processes is a good thing in every industry. What about artworks? Making a masterpiece is a process too, right? Having good organizational habits would let an artist be more productive. But isn't it decreasing chances of making a masterpiece since it has to be unique? Does streamlining this kind of processes always kills creativity? Do you have any experience in helping artists be more process aware?

Yes there is! Currently I’m using agile methods with an art collective. We are using a trello board to make tasks for sprints. We have sprint reviews where we “demo” the art to each other. The main difference I have noticed is that there is no place for a “product owner” because we all share the responsibility of deciding what is most important.
It is working out great so far, and the artists were excited to have a way to organizer their work as a collaborative.
As far as doing this as a solo artist, I think it is helpful to make kanban boards to accomplish larger tasks. I’ve used it for 3d modeling, game design, interactive sound installations, research papers etc.
