Is there a place for standardizing processes in art?

Yes there is! Currently I’m using agile methods with an art collective. We are using a trello board to make tasks for sprints. We have sprint reviews where we “demo” the art to each other. The main difference I have noticed is that there is no place for a “product owner” because we all share the responsibility of deciding what is most important. 

It is working out great so far, and the artists were excited to have a way to organizer their work as a collaborative. 

As far as doing this as a solo artist, I think it is helpful to make kanban boards to accomplish larger tasks. I’ve used it for 3d modeling, game design, interactive sound installations, research papers etc.

if I follow the title - yes, you can standardize the process, but not the drawing itself. These are two different things for me. Processes can be the delivery of paint, paper, frames, packaging, selling, etc. You can even introduce a pull system on that and be Lean .. how cool is that :)

I apologize but I disagree with you because the meaning of an artist cannot be compared to a factory chain process.The artist should express in his work a feeling, an idea or a concept, which then ends in his/her artistic work.Therefore, from my point of view, artistic creation goes against your question.

On the other hand, I consider that the artist must work continuously, maintain constant training and take time to relax with which he can refresh his imagination and his creation.Sincerely
