How can I get initial traction?

First of all - great idea! 

There are few ways to approach user aquisition at this stage.

1. You can pay specialised affiliate agencies and they will get users for you - it requires certain budget (quality agencies are pricy), stable product to offer your new users and good planning what is expected to be received back from them - certain behavior, actions, retention (vising your product every few days and being active), making votes, orders, etc.

As you are aiming at pre-sale audience, I would say number 2 would be more suitable:

2. Build genuine audience and win the users by yourself (let your product wins them)

-make clear point how your platform will help users. Less words, more meaning.

-be very active in social network with unique and engagement posts - make your potential users intetact to post as much as possible. 

- organise give away, that should be as loudly promoted as possible - best is if you can offer some gift or advantage for first 1000 users - to make your audiene compete, take a chance, etc. Even better if you can offer  some advantage using your platform - by pre-registration they will get exlusive rights to....., or at their 2nd order - they will get even bigger discount... or the first 1000 users will get free shipping, lottery for free products, etc

- keep posting in different groups and forums  like here, facebook groups, linkedin.. to see which readers will react best and thus shape best your target audience.

-audience react more to videos - depending on the budget you can use a designer, agency or make it yourself with free tools available on the web. 

- try to keep tracking where the registration are coming from and put a tracking link to each post, so there is a proper analysis behind these actions.

I would suggest also re-work of your website content - there are few mistaken words, too long and not clear sentances that must be fixed. Shorten the text and engage more with it. Make it more playfull and sexy with more clear slogans.

Last by not least - think of re-arrangement of the content - currently the essence of your product is positioned at the bottom. First three text batches are long and more common. Put out the most important at the top, straightforward.

It is a whole strategy process and would take some time to see ROI but if it's done properly it will help not only in pre-sale, but through whole producr live cycle.
