Hello All here at Consulthon.
This is my first challenge and it is on a slightly different topic, namely:
"How a non-professional consultant like me can cultivate, improve and develop skills in the business consultancy"?
Which could be better - attend in courses and management programs , join a consultancy company or other?
Can you recommend good coursers/programs as well as consultancy companies across Europe that invest in people development?
May I contribute as a freelancer for a specific case/project or the only option is full time employee?
Any comments and advices will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mihail

Hi Mihail,
Â
Is there a particular industry or function you are aiming to specialise in?

There are lots of online resources and courses that are useful in building up your skills - for example, if you're interested in the Future of Work or HR Tech I could certainly recommend some excellent ones.

The top consulting companies invest a lot of money in training and are very competitive to enter. Start-ups and smaller enterprises will be more willing to engage in flexible contractor arrangements and may offer good opportunities to develop skills and project experiences. In general, even the larger consulting firms are moving away from the 'employee model' and engaging in the gig economy.

Thanks
