Do you consider organisational chart still relevant for the companies?
What are the key advantages of an organisational chart to be communicated and distributed among the employees?
Would you say on the organisational chart you need to add only the positions/titles/roles, rather than including the names of people as well?

Organisation charts exist whether they are written down or not! In every organisation there is a structure of line management, decision making, responsibilities, role definitions, financial accountability, etc.
The organisation chart itself simply ensures that the structure and all of the above accountabilities associated with that are clear for everyone.
Without the organisation chart written down, everyone in the organisation still knows "who's in charge", what they are accountable for delivering, who they report to, who they are responsible for, and so on.Â
I would argue that names are not necessary in the org chart, as it should be job roles that define the structure and not the people. However, most people realistically think about each other as people and not their roles, which is why it is easier to understand a chart with names on too. It depends on how it is to be used.
